Why the fit matters as much as the door
Most forced entries happen at the weakest point of a door set: a lock that can be snapped, a frame that flexes, or hinges that were never fixed into solid masonry. A heavy door in a poor frame is still a weak door. That is why we measure every opening ourselves and build the whole set to suit it.
On older properties across the North West, openings are rarely square. We deal with that properly at the survey stage rather than packing out a standard size door, which is how gaps, draughts and weak fixings creep in.
Domestic and commercial security doors
For homes, most customers choose a steel-reinforced or composite door that looks like a normal front or back door but is far harder to force. For shops, offices, units and plant rooms we fit heavier steel door sets with hardened locking, and panic or push-bar hardware where the door also needs to work as a fire exit.
What we supply and fit
- Composite front and back doors Reinforced cores and multi-point locking, in a wide range of colours and finishes.
- Steel personnel doors Heavy gauge steel door sets for commercial units, stores and plant rooms.
- Fire exit security doors Steel doors with panic hardware that stay secure from outside and open easily from inside.
- Anti-snap lock upgrades Cylinder and hardware upgrades for existing doors that are otherwise sound.

Security Doors FAQs
- Do you make security doors to measure?
- Yes. Every door we supply is made to the exact opening after a free survey, rather than a stock size forced into place.
- Can you fit a security door that still looks like a normal front door?
- Yes. Our composite and steel-reinforced doors come in many colours and styles, so they suit the property while giving much better protection than a standard door.
- Do you fit steel doors for commercial units?
- Yes. We fit steel personnel doors and fire exit doors for shops, warehouses, offices and industrial units across Greater Manchester and Lancashire.
- How much does a security door cost?
- It depends on the size, material and level of security, so we give a clear written price after a free survey rather than a misleading headline figure.
